Our Mission & Ministry

Our Church

At Cape Fear Baptist Church, we believe that God’s love is for everyone. No matter your past, background, or current walk of life, you are welcome here. Rooted in Free Will Baptist faith, our message focuses on the incredible truth that God lets each of us to choose Him freely—and with that choice comes a life full of purpose, joy, and hope. Join us as we walk together in faith, embracing God’s love and the beautiful journey it brings.

Discover the Freedom of Faith

If you’re searching for a place where you can freely choose to follow Christ, be part of a loving community, and grow in faith, we invite you to join us. Here, you’ll find a family that supports and encourages you every step of the way.

Faith Rooted in Freedom

We believe that God created us with the ability to choose. You are not bound by fate or predestination; your relationship with God is built on your own decision to follow Christ. Here, you’ll find a community that respects your personal journey and supports your growth in faith.

Salvation and Growth in Christ

When you choose to trust in Jesus, you begin a life-changing journey of salvation through faith. But the journey doesn’t stop there. We believe in walking with Christ daily and deepening our relationship with Him through prayer, fellowship, and service.

Baptism by Immersion

Baptism is a public declaration of your faith and a beautiful symbol of starting fresh—buried in Christ, raised to new life. We practice baptism by immersion, just as Christ did, and celebrate every step you take toward spiritual renewal.

His personal experience—having struggled with drugs and alcohol before finding Christ—has fueled his dedication to recovery ministries, inspired by his father’s own journey out of alcoholism.

Pastor Hall also serves as the Chief Chaplain for the New Hanover County Sheriff’s Office, providing full-time emotional and spiritual support to deputies and inmates at the Detention Center. He leads Bible studies, distributes scripture materials, and ministers to the incarcerated, as well as offering comfort during death notifications. As a chaplain, he is responsible for the well-being of the largest office of sworn deputies in North Carolina.

When not serving others, Pastor Hall enjoys riding motorcycles and spending time on the water, indulging in his love for boating. His life and ministry are a testament to his deep commitment to faith, service, and recovery.
