Missionaries to the Australian Aborigines
Dear Praying Friends,
I hope this letter finds each
of you excited to start a new year as we look back on what God
has done in the past. As of this time last year we had
visited 41 churches, covered 18,999 miles, made 1126
boomerangs and raised 15% of our needed support. God has truly
given the increase. What is also exciting for us is that we
start this new year applying for our visas and making the
necessary arrangements for our departure. What we have prayed
and worked for is now becoming a reality. Thank you for your
prayers in this matter.
The next few months of 2008
will be inherently more complicated, yet we look forward to
them with great anticipation. we are able to face them with
great confidence because we know our God and we know you are
praying for us.
God's miraculous provision once
again....When we began deputation the Lord provided for us a
little 1997 VW Golf with 124,000 miles on the odometer. We
purchased this vehicle for 1/3 of its actual value through the
generosity of a family friend. We than ran it up to 238,000
miles. we soon realized with a second child on the way that
although the car was perfect in every other area it did lack
space. My wife and I discussed this on a Sunday. The very next
day I received an offer I could not refuse. A co-worker said
he liked my car so much he would take an even trade for his.
What was his? A 1997 VW Jetta with 106,000 miles on the
odometer. Same color, same year, same interior, same drive
train. The difference? It is a four door with a large trunk
and 132,000 miles less on the odometer. Praise the Lord.
Jen's due date is February
11th. She continues to do well with traveling, but even though
our new car is bigger I still do not want to deliver a baby in
it.. Those who's paths we cross that do not know Christ as
their Savior, we will be issuing a special report soon to ask
your help in praying for each of these individuals that we
hope to reach before our departure. We still need between 15
to 20 new churches to partner with us financially before our
departure.
Some trust in
chariots, and some in horses; but we will remember the name of
the Lord our God- Psalm 20:7
Sincerely,
Patrick, Jen, & Autumn Bauer
