Send Me' I Will Go
Matthew
21:28-32 (King James Version)
28 But what think ye? A
certain man had two sons; and he came to the first, and said, Son, go
work to day in my vineyard.
29 He answered and said, I will not: but afterward he repented,
and went. 30 And he
came to the second, and said likewise. And he answered and said, I go,
sir: and went not. 31Whether
of them twain did the will of his father? They say unto him, The
first. Jesus saith unto them, Verily I say unto you, That the
publicans and the harlots go into the kingdom of God before you.
32 For John came unto you in
the way of righteousness, and ye believed him not: but the publicans
and the harlots believed him: and ye, when ye had seen it, repented
not afterward, that ye might believe him.
The "vineyard"
comprises the lost souls of this world. If the Father tells
us to go in order to win sinners to Christ, we should not hesitate but
go.
The Lord has
given all Christians the following command as he was leaving this
world to go to his father in heaven:
Matthew 28:19‚ 20
19. Go ye therefore‚ and teach all nations‚
baptizing them in the name of the Father‚ and of the Son‚ and of the
Holy Ghost.
20. Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever
I have commanded you: and lo‚ I am with you always‚ even unto the
end of the world. Amen.
Sexton Family
David and Charity Sexton are going as Joint Project Home
Missionaries with the state of Virginia and Free Will Baptist
Home Missions to establish a Free Will Baptist church in
Suffolk. David has
served as youth pastor at
Gateway
Free
Will
Baptist
Church in
Virginia Beach,
Virginia for
seven years and is presently serving as an assistant pastor at
Gateway. The Sextons have faithfully served at Gateway for 15
years. David has a Bachelor’s degree as well as a Master’s
degree in Education and Administration. David and Charity have
four precious children: Austen, Devan,
Chassity and Cailey. Please pray for the Sexton
family as they plant a Free Will Baptist church in the second
fastest growing city in
Virginia where
there are no Free Will Baptist churches.
Donahue Family
Mick and Rachel Donahue
plan to return to Spain for their first term of career service
in 2008. They will work alongside Spain missionaries as they
prepare to lead a team to minister to North African immigrants
in the south of Spain. The couple also hopes to begin an
aviation ministry of relief and development in North Africa.
They were appointed to career service by the Board of Free
Will Baptist International Missions in December 2006.
CONVERSION
Mick was saved as a child and attended Matthews Free Will
Baptist Church in Matthews, NC with his family. He answered the
call to missions while working as a police officer in Monroe,
NC. Rachel was saved at age six and attended Grace Baptist
Church in Dickson, TN, with her family. She was seeking God’s
direction when she met Mick at Free Will Baptist Bible College
and soon began preparing for the mission field as well.
The Donahues were married July 5, 2003. Mick graduated FWBBC in
May 2004, and Rachel graduated the following May.
EARLY MINISTRY
Before their career appointment, the Donahues spent a year
studying Spanish language and culture while doing research to
formulate their current strategy. While in Spain they were
active in the local church and worked to develop relationships.
Mick and Rachel have previously ministered together in music;
teaching Sunday school; leading children’s church; and directing
weekly services, Bible studies, and a Financial Peace class at
the Nashville Women's Rescue Mission. They also have experience
working with a bus ministry and weekly visitation. Rachel
assisted in a Hispanic ministry for a short time, and Mick spent
two months in Brazil as an overseas apprentice in 2002.
